Pickleball Information
What the Heck is Pickleball: Everything you need to know to start playing the fastest growing sport in America at DSRC.
Pickleball is a paddle sport played with a whiffle ball and is a combination of tennis, ping pong, and badminton. It is a great workout, competitive, social, inexpensive, and a whole lot of fun for everyone. There are a few simple rules and it’s easy to get started. The sport has longer rallies, less intense physical demands, more opportunities for court banter, and men and women can play together. Though easy to learn, Pickleball provides endless opportunity for individual improvement and learning subtle techniques. Take a look at the videos linked above to get a feel for the game.
The club provides paddles and balls in the snack bar, and courts 4 and 5 are lined with Pickleball lines. Your family can play anytime. Organized games are played on Sundays at 9:00am, Mondays at 6:30pm, and Thursdays at 6:30pm.
Everyone is welcome! Grab a paddle and give it a try!
